Mr. Gary Kuschnereit, better known as “Mr. K.”, serves as Principal, and Campus Administrator. Mr. K. is considered a “son of Good Shepherd Lutheran Congregation,” since his parents transferred to the church in 1952. Educated through Mid-Del public schools, he felt the call to become a Lutheran school teacher. He has earned an Assoc. in Arts, Bachelor of Ed. in Education, Lutheran Teacher Diploma, Master of Arts in Curriculum, and a Master of Education in Elementary and Middle School Administration. He has also served Lutheran schools at St. Louis, MO; Burbank, CA; and Norman, OK. In addition, he has served congregations as organist, choir director, and youth director, as well as worked to have the National Lutheran School Accreditation recognized by the Oklahoma State Department of Education to have accredited Lutheran schools considered as Oklahoma state department accredited. Special interests include Bible study, reading, writing, genealogy, “culinary arts,” and gardening.
Mrs. Lynn Cunningham is our Kindergarten teacher. She grew up in Minnesota and graduated from high school in New Ulm, MN. Mrs. Cunningham earned her teaching degree from Concordia University, St. Paul. Right after college, she moved to Midwest City, OK, to begin teaching at Good Shepherd Lutheran School. She taught first grade for many years, and now enjoys teaching Kindergarten. She and her husband Jeff have one daughter named Sarah. Sarah is now a Senior in high school. Mrs. Cunningham is a fan of Winnie the Pooh and has fun with the family dogs, Snowball and Maggie.
Mrs. Melanie Martinez is our seventh and eighth grade teacher at Good Shepherd Lutheran School. Mrs. Martinez graduated from Oklahoma State University and has continued her education at the University of Central Oklahoma. She started out at GSLS as the librarian and started teaching first and second grade the last half of 2015. Mrs. Martinez is the mother of three children who keep her very busy when she is not at school. In her spare time she loves to read, do crafts, and garden.
Mrs. Taneya Dossey is our Third and Fourth grade teacher. She has taught at Good Shepherd for seven years. She began teaching computers and Spanish before moving to third and fourth grade. She works with the eighth grade students to create the yearbook. Before coming to Good Shepherd, she taught Third grade at Steed Elementary. She has also taught at East side and Del City Elementary Schools. She received her teaching degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. When not in the classroom, she can be found spending time with her family, reading, sewing, and working with her Girl Scout troop.
Mrs. Junghanns is our fifth & sixth grade teacher. She has taught at Good Shepherd Lutheran School for 16 years. For her first 13 years she taught 3rd and 4th grades and then “graduated” to 5th and 6th grades where she has taught for three years. Mrs. Junghanns received her teaching degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. Her favorite things to do, besides teaching, are spending time with her family, reading and singing in church choir.

Lynne McNair is our Child Development Center director. She has worked with children for over 30 years. Lynne started her career at Hope Lutheran Church in Little Rock, AK where she taught preschool for 4 years. After moving to Midwest City, Lynne started teaching preschool at Good Shepherd. She has taught preschool for 16 years, been the Assistant Director for the Child Development Center and in 2014 was promoted to Director. Lynne has received her CDA and her Directors credentials from the Center for Early Childhood Professional Development.

Ms. Linda Harke is our Computer Lab teacher and Librarian. For over 7 years, Ms. Harke has worked as the church secretary here at GSLC. She has a degree from Rose State College and is continuing her education at the University of Central Oklahoma. Besides spending time with her family, Ms. Harke also enjoys reading and singing.
